What is Electrolysis?

Electrology is the study of permanent hair removal through the use of a very fine solid sterile probe and machine called an epilator, which produces a mild electrical current. The procedure involves placing a probe into the hair follicle alongside the hair and adding a small amount of electrical current that destroys the follicle at the root, including the surrounding stem cells which would have made the next hair. The fact that not only the follicle is destroyed but also these stem cells ensures resulting permanency.

An electrolysis treatment program must be tailored to meet each individual's needs. Most clients find weekly sessions in the beginning most effective. The cycle of natural hair growth will affect the duration of treatment.

The success of the treatment is a matter of your personal commitment and health.

According to the FDA and AMA, electrolysis is the only method of permanent hair removal.
